- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder, unsweetened
- ⅓ cup semisweet chocolate chunks
- 1 tablespoon applesauce, unsweetened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease baking sheets using nonstick cooking spray or line with silicone baking sheets.
- In a large bowl, mix both sugars and avocado, applesauce, egg, and vanilla. Whisk well until the sugar dissolves, between 2 and 3 minutes.
- In a separate large bowl, mix together flours, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the avocado mixture in 2 batches with a spatula. Then, gently fold in the chocolate chunks and walnuts. The dough should be very sticky. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for 15 minutes.
